Garage door repair in Hailey, Idaho
Hailey, Ketchum and Bellevue, covered from our Kimberly shop. Mountain winters are the hardest conditions we work in, and they are hard on garage doors in ways the valley floor is not.
What we do in Hailey
The same crew and the same trucks that serve the rest of the Wood River Valley. Parts ride on the truck, so most repairs finish on the first visit.

What altitude and snow do to a door
The Wood River Valley gets more snow, colder nights and bigger temperature swings than anywhere else we serve, and doors here fail differently because of it.
Common up the valley
- Springs failing on the coldest morning of the year, when steel is least forgiving
- Ice building under the bottom seal and tearing it on the next cycle
- Doors frozen to the slab, then forced by the opener until something gives
- Second homes where a fault is not noticed until the owner arrives
- Snow load and drift against doors that face the wrong way

Hailey questions
Do you come up to Hailey and Ketchum?
Yes, regularly. Both are on our Magic Valley run, dispatched from Kimberly. Most calls see a technician on site within about 2 hours, though winter weather over the pass can extend that and we will tell you if it has.
What happens if my door is frozen to the ground?
Do not keep pressing the button. The opener will either strip a gear or tear the bottom seal, and you will need both fixed instead of neither. Call and we will talk you through it.
Can you check on a second home while we are away?
Yes. A lot of our Wood River work is exactly this, and an annual visit is far cheaper than arriving to find a door that failed in December.
Do you handle snow and ice damage?
Yes, including bottom seals, bent bottom bars and doors knocked out of alignment by drift or by a plow.
Is an insulated door worth it up here?
More than anywhere else we serve. If the garage is attached or heated it makes a measurable difference, and the door is stiffer in cold weather as well.
